What is the GMAT Discount Card?

The Great Malvern Association of Traders (GMAT) Discount Card is a scheme designed to encourage local traders and their employees to purchase products and services locally from fellow traders rather than from out of town. Each participating trader will offer a discount or additional benefit to their fellow traders which will be given on presentation of the GMAT Loyalty Card.

Who can become part of the GMAT Loyalty Card scheme?

Only traders who are members of the Great Malvern Association of Traders can register to join the Loyalty Card scheme. The scheme has been created to be one of the benefits of membership of GMAT. If other traders wish to join the scheme they must firstly register to become a member of GMAT. This can be done at www.gmatuk.org.

Only traders who offer some kind of loyalty offer will receive a loyalty card to use at other traders.

 

What should I offer other traders?

It is entirely down to members' own discretion as to what they offer their fellow traders. We encourage you to offer something that would be a real benefit to other members and their employees to incentivise them to shop with you. We've put a few examples below for illustration, but you can offer whatever you feel appropriate for your business and potential customers.

•Retailer: 10% off any purchase

•Restaurant/Food Outlet: Free bottle of wine with any order over £XX

•Service provider (e.g. bank, solicitor, accountant): 10% off your charges

•Hotel/B&B: Breakfast included in any booking

Can I add any terms and conditions to my offering?

You certainly can add any terms and conditions you wish to your offer. For example, 10% off any purchase of £30 or over. There will be a standard set of T&Cs for the scheme which are shown below, but if you have certain conditions for your offer please detail them below. We will show all participating members' T&Cs at www.gmatuk.org.
